Great news for multi-taskers, here is a bicycle and spin bike mounted with a laptop holder. It seems to be ultimate in productivity. Though cycling in the lap of nature has no comparison but for gaming geeks it can also provide some more time spend in front of their monitors.

This is a guest post by Tim Lackey, if you want to guest post on this blog, check out the guidelines here.

Knowledge Management systems relate closely to a life cycle. In most cases, it starts with a plan with the justification, and it ends with a system tailored and structured to meet the needs of a company. It is an essential component in a competitive environment, because it allows a company to create, locate, capture, and collaborate information efficiently and effectively. It enables a company to discover new information and apply the information to solve any foreseeable issues in a timely manner.

Some companies have grown to be so complex that their knowledge management is fragmented and extremely difficult to control. Fragmented knowledge can cause inconsistencies and redundancy that can control the outcomes that drive a business. In many cases, a fragmented knowledge management system can inadvertently destroy a company. This is where a blueprint comes in handy. For any company to be effective in Knowledge Management, a stable blueprint must be composed by a Knowledge Management team. After all, a blueprint is essentially a roadmap to success.

The blueprint should provide clarification of tactic knowledge that resides in the minds of employees. Though, tactic knowledge develops overtime as a result of action and repetition; the knowledge is more easily exchanged, pooled, disseminated, and managed if converted explicitly. This is where Knowledge Management architecture plays a critical role. Designing the actual system design usually indicates that it will incorporate an IT infrastructure for Knowledge Management. Although, technically Knowledge Management has been around before the use of IT equipment, the Information Age almost always make IT a requirement for modern practices.

A blueprint addresses a number of concerns such as shooting for an interoperable, scalable system that can intertwine with an existing IT infrastructure. During blueprint development, nothing is concrete until the scope has been finalized and the necessary components identified and the key layers have been developed to meet a company’s requirements. Commonly, the layers refer to:

– user interface

– security/authentication

– collaborative agents and filtering

– application layer

– transport internet layer

– physical layer

– repositories

Developing a Knowledge Management system begins when the proposed system is considered doable, affordable, and practical. It needs to add value to the company and the clients they serve by accommodating profitability and growth. There are two main players in team; those that represent the thinking of the company, and developers that have expertise in capture, design, and implementation. Players on both ends of the spectrum ensure that a system is successful. Much like any SDLC, the discipline in effective documentation, coordination, maintenance and review represent a robust life cycle. On the contrary, lack of forecasting and structure invites adversity and possible failure.

The critical part of the Knowledge Management life cycle is to identify the immediate, as well long-term requirements for the potential system. Identifying the requirements of the system entails extensive review of current employees, cost-benefit analysis, justification of costs, tools, processes, and procedures. This ensures that the installation of the system is complete, accurate, and with integrity. Some experts say that bias in technology choices should be avoided, especially when they do not integrate well with legacy systems. If a Knowledge Management system is not well-defined before implementation, chaos can ensue in the foreseeable future.

If you sign up, each month Gmail Meter will send you a link to a password-protected report with insights into your signed-in use of Google services.

Gmail Meter is an Apps Script which runs on the first day of every month and sends you an email containing different statistics about your Inbox. In a similar way to how recently introduced Google Account Activity gives key stats about how you’ve used your Google Account, Gmail Meter gives you different types of statistics that will help you analyze your Gmail habits.

Throughout our daily routine right from the time we wake up till we go to sleep at night, we all always have something to think Learn more...

Throughout our daily routine right from the time we wake up till we go to sleep at night, we all always have something to think about, to say and something to do. We are occupied and are busy. The question is whether everything that we do forms part of our life purpose or whether we are simply occupying time spaces and using our mental, verbal and physical energy in activities, tasks and conversations that do not lead us to anything substantial or whole. We simply pass time doing and talking, but without a sense of purpose. All of us want to turn successful, although the things we do and speak about are necessary to be done, if they do not make up part of our life purpose, they will tire us. We will feel an inner emptiness and dissatisfaction, as if we are missing something.

What is the purpose of your blog?

All of us here in blogosphere start out with a dream; to rule our niche, to become an authority and most often, to make money. When we have worked hard for couple of years or more, and not seen any real results, discouragement is a natural reaction, but with the world of blogging, you need to push through this, or all the work you’ve put in will be in vain. The most authentic purpose is that of fulfilling our ideal, our dream in life. What happens is that, sometimes, we haven’t worked out what our true purpose or life dream is. We have to ask ourselves what our true purpose is.

If we contemplate broadly there are two purposes – one is a purpose related to the self and the other related to what we want to offer to the world. During the day we are exchanging energy – each one of us is different and can give something to the world during this exchange; each of us can play our musical note in order to contribute to the orchestra of the Universe.

Its a marathon

A question that can help you to find the purpose for your self is: when you feel absolutely on top of the world, very much content and full of enthusiasm, what is there in you? Who are you at that moment? What is the energy inside you at that time? What do you give to your surroundings and to others? This stage is something that you want to reach all the time and keep with you. Ask yourself that question. Visualize that moment, which at some time in life you must have experienced. If not, visualize what you would like to experience. Don’t quit early because its not a sprint it is a marathon

Heartfelt contribution

Second question to find your purpose related to the world: What is it that you want to radiate to others? Are you ready to take the responsibility? What is it that you want to give? That is, what do you want to devote yourself to? This isn’t limited to your job or a hobby or a sport for e.g., but rather applies to what you offer and radiate in the whole day, in relationships, with people through your thoughts, words and actions – in the family, at work, in the market, friends, acquaintances and even strangers. And most important every time you do it, you have to do it better.

To carry out this inner inquiry you need to go to its deepest part. What is your purpose? Not your purpose for this weekend you want to go for the club meeting or not, or that in the holidays you want to visit a hill station; all these are short term purposes. Your life purpose refers to what it is that you really want to reach. If you clarify it, it will help you to make decisions with clarity and determination in your life. You’ll find the purpose of your blog..

I am on my way…

Have you ever realized what are your real assets? Your strengths, talents, capabilities and resources are very important as the foundation of your self progress. Having a clear knowledge of them will help to keep you moving forward, and enable you to take up new opportunities when they arise. Our internal strengths create the foundation on which we make our decisions in life, how we relate to others and how we understand ourselves. For most people their strengths are understood but never made very conscious. They lie below the surface and are not openly talked about. Bringing them into our conscious understanding improves our process of self-empowerment.

It plays a vital role when you feel low in your life. It not only brings your confidence back but also assess your areas of weakness or those aspects of life that are holding you back in some way and/or are causing you some sorrow or discomfort.

This is a guest post by Melanie Slaugh, if you want to guest post on this blog, check out the guidelines here.

You’ve been tweeting out links to your latest blog posts, attaching all of the appropriate keywords, and utilizing all of the most current SEO tactics, however you still seem to have hit a wall when it comes to increasing your blog’s traffic. On paper it looks like you’re doing everything right… so what’s going wrong? The problem could lie in the fact that you’re approaching blogging with too much of a link-driven, SEO-based mindset and not enough of a personal touch. Add a much-needed dose of personality to your blog through these tactics to help drive more traffic to your blog:

Respond to reader’s comments

Write back to your readers instead of just letting their comments stack up on each post. This helps your readers know that you care about what they have to say, which will in turn make them become more avid readers and more likely to pass your blog on to others.

Don’t just tweet links

A lot of bloggers make the mistake of only tweeting out or posting new blog post links, however people are going to start looking over your tweets if that’s all you’re doing. Using social media to promote your blog is a great tactic as long as you don’t only use it for that. You have to add some life to your Twitter or Facebook accounts to get the most out of them, otherwise you’ll start to look more like a spam account and less like a real person.

Write with opinion

Instead of just writing bland, emotionless blog posts write so that your personality shines through also. Reading posts that only cover topics without giving any personal insight gets boring after a while; it won’t matter how many keywords you’ve attached to the post if it isn’t engaging and doesn’t compel people to share it or read more on your site.

Post Vlogs

Vlogs (or video blogs) are an excellent way to switch things up a bit and give readers a taste of who you are outside of your writing, making them feel like they have a more personal relationship with you. Plus videos do really well online in terms of searchability, and because you can also post them to sites like YouTube you can reach a broader audience.

Make your ‘About’ page count

Don’t skip having an ‘about’ page on your blog – that’s the fastest way for new readers to get to know you in a short amount of time and the perfect time for you to pitch why they need to continue reading your blog. Include a picture of yourself and write it in a way that highlights the pros to reading your blog.

Despite the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of blogs on the internet that are vying for new readers, not all of them will succeed. If you want to be in the group of those that do then you have to add in a touch of individualized personality to your blog so that you can form a relationship with your readers which makes them want to keep coming back.

Have you realized that too much choice undermines happiness. Our infinite choices are paralyzing, and exhausting to the human psyche. It leads us to set unreasonably high expectations, question our choices before we even make them and blame our failures entirely on ourselves. From consumer products to lifestyle choices like where to live, what job to take, who and when to marry, underscore this central point.

Conventional wisdom tells us that greater choice is for the greater good, but Psychologist Schwartz argues the opposite: He makes a compelling case that the abundance of choice in today’s western world is actually making us miserable. He takes aim at a central tenet of western societies: freedom of choice. In Schwartz’s estimation, choice has made us not freer but more paralyzed, not happier but more dissatisfied.

What are you ready to give in order to make it successful. You might have poured all your intellect and effort in order to make your blog successful. Have you ever conceived it emotionally. At times emotional thinking leads us to miraculous success.

How much you love your blog?

The most common answer which I felt was “Yes I do, but I don’t know or I can’t quantify what I need to do in order to make it successful. ”

Then you most settle down and find out that what it requires.

Have you put it in your prayers? if not please put it in your prayers and see the effect!

Amongst one of the many speculated projects A team within our Google[x] group has come up with reality eyeglasses which interacts with your visual environment acting as a smartphone, day planner, navigation system, camera and much more. A kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment.

The glasses interact with the environment around the wearer by augmenting or supplementing the actual reality thereby giving user much more information than he/she is accustomed to under normal conditions. It runs on Google’s Android operating system which is voice controlled and not been seen before as it has a small bar of icons on top and the wearer can interact with them to view weather, send text messages, add emails, video chat, search Google or do anything an average smartphone can do.

Two hours ago, Conan O’Brien, purchased Mashable.com from Pete Cashmore for $3,500. He has taken it over. Why did he took it over? Watch to find out.

Later updates…

Conan O’Brien has succeeded where others, especially Pete Cashmore, have failed and stolen the upcoming Apple iTV so he can bring it to his fellow Mashables. This is his hands-on report.

Twitter is slow and it doesn’t work on paper. What if you could change all that?

Mashable’s new CEO Conan O’Brien has developed a solution: Manual Tweets. They work…on paper. Watch the video to see this astounding social media innovation for yourself.

Conan O’Brien has learned that, due to an unfortunate misunderstanding, he did not buy Mashable and oust CEO pete Cashmore. Instead, he purchased a Mash TV fan site. He regrets the error and is returning Mashable to Pete Cashmore’s control.

A licensing organization called ET3 believes that day isn’t far off. They hold a patent to Evacuated Tube Technology or ETT and say that with their tubes, you will eventually be able to get you from New York to Beijing in 2 hours and from New York to London in less than an hour.

Their six person capsules would travel on frictionless magnetic levitation tracks, through air-less vacuum tubes reaching a maximum speed of 4,000 miles per hour. At that speed you could spend the day comparing noodles in China to Pasta in Italy and back to New York in time for cheesecake, all in the same day.

This is too much of the public display of social media and I guess for most of us, it falls into that category of tweeting about everyday waste in which nobody is interested.

The video chronicles the journey of a food snob in a knit hat who fashions himself the “culinary paparazzi” and sings like he’s auditioning for a Cure cover band. These guys occasionally charge according to the meter in their vehicle, rest of the times they demand for an amount in advance. If they are found willing to go by the meter, there’s a chance it’s been tampered with. This is the story in almost every metro.

A-Rix Meter is an app that’ll help you if you find yourself caught in such a scenario. Designed and developed by Siddharth Vanchinathan, the app is a simple tariff calculator app for iPhone. It uses the iPhone’s GPS to measure the distance traveled and tells you exactly how much the fare is. The information gets updated live on the screen so you know exactly how much you’ll have to pay and also includes an integrated map view so you know what route you’re on.

The app supports autos and taxi fares from a big list of cities, it also works for Meru cabs in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi & Hyderabad. Don’t worry, it even allows you to set a custom fare setting for your journey if your city is not listed. So, say no to tampered meters and don’t bother about looking up conversion charts, A-Rix for iPhone should take care of all that.

Pair is a brand new messaging app that you can use with your intimate partner. The objective of this app is when you wish to share something with your partner. Gone are the days when you shared only text messages, now you want to share pictures, video, your location coordinates, and even things like sketches.

All mentioned are mostly treated as messages. This creates a very fun and intimate timeline between you and your partner, and helps you feel close even when you’re apart.
